The Perfect School Holiday Activity

2019-10-15T15:01:03+10:00

What does the perfect school holiday activity look like? Many children put horse riding high on their list! If you are looking for an amazing week for your child these holidays, we would love to see them enjoy and discover the beauty of horse riding. Kiah Park is located in the beautiful Sunshine Coast hinterland with an exclusive bus service that runs through to Brisbane. The cool winter months are lovely for being outside on horse riding trails, and our busy schedule will keep little bodies active and happy.

Positions are currently available in each of the three camps these holidays. To make a booking, just complete your child’s Registration Form online. Dates are available on our website. We hope to see our young horse-lovers there!

70 Horses… and 70 Personalities

2019-09-12T12:15:42+10:00

Since the school holidays aren’t here yet, let’s do a bit of maths together, school kids. Here is the question: if we have seventy horses at Kiah Park and zero of them are alike, how many unique horse personalities do we have? That’s right – all seventy of our horses are different! Every time you come to Kiah Park, we take you into the arena to do some horse riding activities so we can see how strong your skills are. After that, your instructor will go through a careful selection process where she matches you up with a horse to suit your skill and confidence level. Some of our horses have lots of “get-up-and-go.” Others want to stay a slow steady pace all the time. Some horses like to give big friendly nudges, and others want to stand like a statue while you rub their necks all over.

Children’s Horse Camps

2020-02-21T15:35:03+10:00

The children who come to camp might tell you we are all about horses, that’s because it is! Each child pampers their horse with a good grooming twice a day. They meet others who love horses, and guess what they talk about all week? At the climax of our camp, the children enjoy a great gymkhana on horseback. We might be all about horses, but there is something even more important to us. We are all about children having an incredible experience at camp that will create lifelong memories. Our horse camps are all about happy children.

Electronics Vs Outdoor Activities

2015-11-17T18:50:11+10:00

Maybe it’s sunny outside; or maybe there’s rain to dance in. Maybe the wind is strong enough to make a kite soar; or maybe there’s a soft breeze perfect for racing paper aeroplanes. To so many children, those factors are irrelevant. They are living life with only their fingers: tapping things into existence, swiping things into extinction, creating their childhood in front of a flat screen. Maybe your child’s “farmville” harvest is ready; maybe their “base” is being attacked; maybe a friend has just notified everyone that they are having pancakes for breakfast, but to some children those things are irrelevant. They are experiencing life outdoors and loving every moment of it.

Summer Horse Riding Fun

2018-01-19T18:17:20+10:00

Who loves the smell of a shiny chestnut horse who has been basking in the sunshine of a hot summer day? Who would like to run their hands over her smooth, warm coat? Who would love to be horse riding that day, soaking up the sunshine with her? It is more than a fun experience when children can live their holidays outdoors. It’s the picture of health when they go to bed tired every evening and wake up bright-eyed and full of new energy each morning. Enjoying the vigour and beauty of the rolling countryside alongside friendly farm animals and lots of new friends is a breath of fresh air not to miss out on.

Now is a great time to get your booking in for our upcoming 7 Day Camps in the Christmas holidays, as we currently have availability in each of our scheduled camps.

Camp is Life-Changing

2019-09-06T18:26:49+10:00

The time I spend at Kiah Park is always such well-spent time. The week is filled with amazing oppurtunities and activities that everyone thoroughly enjoys and can participate in. This is the most amazing camp that quite literally changes your life. The food is also wonderful, and the horses are well-trained. The supervisors are some amazing people who just make the camp run perfectly. – Emma, 16 years

Senior’s Horse Camp

2019-09-06T19:57:49+10:00

Kiah Park Senior’s Camp is a week that I look forward to all year. I absolutely love the fact that we get to catch our own horses as well as grooming and saddling them. It’s awesome fun to do the special events such as Cross Country and swimming with the horses down at the dam. The horses at Kiah Park are great, and I always find myself missing them when I go. I come to the normal camps almost every other holidays, and they’re the best! I couldn’t imagine a life without Kiah.      – Sarah, 14 years

For All Horse-Crazy Kids

2019-09-06T19:59:27+10:00

This place is seriously amazing! Kiah Park is fabulous – whether you’ve never ridden a horse or compete regularly. The Senior’s camp was amazing. I was the youngest kid at camp, but everyone was super nice and always looked out for me. It was wonderful fun, and I seriously recommend it to all horse-crazy kids.
